music video review

this video by the recording artist Beyonce has elements to it that add to the overall enhancement of the song. the way in which this video does so i thought the use of colour and making the lyrics to the song correlate to what is being seen on the screen,the vibe of the song is very mellow and calm, this is further put this forward to the audience, this is evident in the subtle colouring if the video which is very saturated to look close to black and white, this may be to increase the awareness of the audience between black and white for a song by the name of 'halo'.

My Favourite Video

This video was created for the recording artist Joey badass for a track from his mixtape 1999. this video is a great representation of him as an artist and the direction of which he takes with his music. the video has a vintage feel to it and effects that add to the nostalgia of the video, also the video is relevant to the contents of the song and the title because the term 'Fromdatombs' refers to gaining something that is retrieved from ancient or at least of previous time. The videos has many locations that add to the viewing experience, these can be seen to be by a bridge , to correlate with the theme of the video, another location is on the subway train. The editing fits the mid tempo flow of the song very well with slow motion here ad there with fast cuts in other areas. the cinematography of the video also has the vintage, olden day feel to it with the dark and saturated colouring  .

Non - Copyright

Copyright is a law put in place to protect creators of various product is to have all the rights to their property so it can not be duplicated or used without the consent of the creator. it is the intent of copyright is to promote the creation of new works by giving authors control of and profit from them. there are many avenues that have to be gone though to get permission to use copy written music, the allowance to use the work needs to be given by the record companies that finance the artist and promotion of the music and the publishing companies that retrieve the income gained rom the music to the artists.

non copyright music will be what i will be using for my music video project because gaining permission to use the content is much more accessible and less time consuming. 

also non copyright music brings a lot less repercussions when it i miss used ,which is not my intention, therefore providing another reason why it will be a preferred option

Favorite Music video

My project for my media A2 course is to create a music 'promo' video that satisfies all the categories that cause a music video to be exiting and attention grabbing, also fits the theme of the song and sets the mood.

it is to be no longer than five minutes and can be done in a group or in a group of four hat the maximum.

A digipak of six panels must be produced for its release on CD
Also a magazine advertisement for the digipak

At the end of the process a critical evaluation has to be created to go through the successes and potential improvements to the product
